For those of you being harrassed, this website is GOLD re: getting rid of overzealous and illegal collectors (for instance, they can't come back to you 20 years after certain debts etc.).
Once on the website, Clark Howard has a ton of very helpful links to gov't agencies dealing with this sort of stuff.
WRONG!!! They can not legally do that. If you son is not living at home as is over 18, they can not harass you about it. Report them to the Attourney Generals office and the Better Business Bureau. The more people do this, the more likely something will be done about harassing innocent people.
2 unanswered calls today, there have been 2 previous calls as well inthe past 2 months.
I have nothing relating to any type of collection matter with WellsFargo
this # has called my house 20+ times since noon today and either their automated caller hangs up or says that all their people are busy with other calls. Really wtf? I am going to file harassment charges this is b.s. They are interupting sleep and my only option is to leave the phone off.
Wells Fargo Financial, which claims to be somehow separate from Wells Fargo (the bank), treats their customers like deadbeats. Its as though you have somehow insulted them by taking up their offer to borrow from them at usurious rates. They start calling persistently the moment you are late with a payment (sometimes even if you are not), and they immediately report you to the credit bureaus. I tore up these cards and am just trying to pay them down -- the sooner the better! Meanwhile, I've put every one of their numbers that they call from on my "ignore" list (a nice feature of earthlink phone service).
