yep, got exact same call..I asked the woman 3x for her name and all 3x it was this is the Chamber of Commerce..She wante dme toverify address of business, I told her I had this same conversation with someone else and they should have it on file. (No, I didn't have conversation previously, that was a lie..LOL) She, then said she'd make a note of it and that was it.
Got a call today from this person asking to confirm our address. When I asked who was calling, she started rambling something and I said "Please take us off your calling list".
Just received the call. Same questions as many of the above. Asked to verify name and location of business. When asked about owner, I asked who is this? I was told Chamber of Commerce. I did ask why. All she did was repeat her request for the owner's name. Unfortunately, I gave owner's name and was asked for correct spelling. Regretted it as soon as I did so. She said thank you and hung up. We are on the No Call List but what good does that do because we still get calls and have even updated our No Call numbers. Guess we'll be hanging up on a lot of people as ignoring the numbers not recognized can hurt business. But I do agree, if it is important they will leave a message.
