yep, got exact same call..I asked the woman 3x for her name and all 3x it was this is the Chamber of Commerce..She wante dme toverify address of business, I told her I had this same conversation with someone else and they should have it on file. (No, I didn't have conversation previously, that was a lie..LOL) She, then said she'd make a note of it and that was it.
the 1st red flag with this call was the girl asked to verify there info with out stating who they are .
the 2nd red flag was she said (after I asked ) she was with the chamer of commerce not chamber of commerce .
I know the US COC is out of VA not Nebraska .
3rd red flag was the COC has no reason to call people out of the blue to up date there info on you .
the 4th red flag was when she said the COC but did not state if it was U.S. of local COC .

just received a phonecall from this number same thing -- lady began by verifying our address I asked who she was with she said updating records for chamber of commerce, then she asked who the owner was, I said sorry we don't get typically get information requests like this, what is the purpose of this call? And she hung up.
I also got the call from this number saying they were from the Chamber of Commerce. It is ridiculous the number of telemarketer calls I receive on a weekly basis. Most are computerized,and I have used the do-not-call list. I don't believe that even accomplishes anything. They just change numbers. Honestly, something should be done about it. I have a business to manage and don't have time for this nonsense.
