I called my mother and her caller ID identified my number as this number (which it is not). I called Centurytel, our phone service provider, and they are looking into it. Ugh.
the caller had called my cell phone from 425-318-8754 said he could lower my mortgage,I told him to call back on my home number which I gave him. He called back from 404-260-0992 said his name was Ron and asked how much money my husband and I make so he could send us paperwork so he could help us lower our mortgage. He said he was from cornerstone mediation network which is in downtown L.A. but the 425 number is in seattle wa. and the404 number is in Atlanta,georgia. I looked up cornerstone mediation network they are in L.A . but have a totally different number than both of these numbers that were on my phones. The 404 number I tried to call back but it said number was out of service.I think this is a scam and whoever has the 404 number is just using the name of cornerstone.
I answer this call while driving in my car. it was identified as DeVry. I believe the telephone number (404) 260-0992 was spoofed to try to legitimize the caller. They said they were calling from Microsoft Support, but hung up when I told them I was driving. Based on other comments being scammers to gain access to your computer to solve problems, be wary & do NOT let them have access to your computer!
