I called my mother and her caller ID identified my number as this number (which it is not). I called Centurytel, our phone service provider, and they are looking into it. Ugh.
Got a call from this number and it was my ex-husband And we talked a minute and he got mad when I asked where he was calling from and whose number it was and he hung up. When I called the number back it was a recording stating it was not a working number. How can people call from non-working numbers? Are people doing something on their phones or computers to get these numbers to hide the real number they're calling from?
My home number is a VoIP line, provided by Ooma, which also sends calls to my cell phone. Caller ID on my cell phone showed only this number. Caller ID on my home phone showed 866/387-7321 & "800 SERVICE." I never pick up "800 SERVICE" calls.
I checked the 866- number at this site (800notes.com) and numerous people said it is the number of a Call Proxy Verification service. It seems that if you don't get the proxy votes back to your investment house soon enough, you're likely to get these calls. If the Caller ID had something meaningful for a name, I'd have picked it up.
Do not use YRC, their business practices are awful. There is no point in opening up and account with them. No wonder they merged two failing businesses together (roadway, yellow freight) They will continue to fail. They will quote you one price then re-bill you for a higher price, and say your getting a deal.
Just got a call from this number- once again threatening to come to my place of employment and serve me papers for what I do not know. When i call back and said to stop calling they hung up!
