Called my cell phone, but they didn't leave a message. I closed all of my credit card accounts about a year ago, so it's definitely a scam since most of the comments say it's about lowering interest rates.
Not legit. The first 4 of almost any CC are the card type and bank and would be the easiest for anyone to know. So, all Visas are 4xxx where 4=visa and xxx=your bank. If they know your bank they know your first 4. 5xxx is master card, and so on.
There you go Jessica thats what I was saying..., the sad part of all this is they pray on the seniors because back in the day cold calling was not uncommon. Just the other day my Brother told me his wife's Dad who is not all together because of his age mentioned the bank called and that they wanted to know his account numbers so he gave it to them he said… so the fix for this was when a senior can't be trusted to not give out personal info is to change the account numbers and make sure they don't get the new info so if someone does call they can't give out their personal info even if they wanted to…. so sad….
"Card Member Services" wanting to lower my interest. He asked if that is what I wanted. I said no, I actually want this number removed from their list. As I was saying this, he audibly covered what I was saying with "aaaaaaaa" and then hung up on me. Caller ID says Atlanta, GA.
