Yes, this turned out to be legitimate, but a very unprofessional way to do business. My situation is a purported $21 balance left after insurance paid Piedmont Radiology for a mammogram and bone density over a year ago. I thought all was paid, so rep on other line of 404-634-9196 said they would send me a statement and I'll go through my records. I can't believe Piedmont Hospital / Radiology Associates of Atlanta would use such a sketchy billing service. The entire process felt like a scam phone call. Will report later if not legitimate.
the caller ID came up with 405-308-4474 callingpost com then it left a message to call about a matter with my doctor didn't say which doctor and didn't ask for a person and left 404-643-9196 as the number to call back sounds a little fishy to me
Received a message from this number on 1/13/09. They said it was,"Your doctor's billing office, regarding your recent statement." I called the number back and a recording answered, "Your doctor's billing office," and they asked me to have my account number ready. My doctors' offices would identify themselves. This must be a scam.
So please tell me if you have found out anything about this, I just got this same call on my home phone and don't know if I need to call it back or not?
