Yes, this turned out to be legitimate, but a very unprofessional way to do business. My situation is a purported $21 balance left after insurance paid Piedmont Radiology for a mammogram and bone density over a year ago. I thought all was paid, so rep on other line of 404-634-9196 said they would send me a statement and I'll go through my records. I can't believe Piedmont Hospital / Radiology Associates of Atlanta would use such a sketchy billing service. The entire process felt like a scam phone call. Will report later if not legitimate.
Just picked up the voicemail message from 404-634-9196 @ Physician's Billing Services. Called back. Held 10 minutes, and then was able to talk with someone. She asked for my account, and I told her I do not have one and that they may have called this number by mistake. The number is associated with a medical billing service in Atlanta off of North Druid Hills Road.
