Yes, this turned out to be legitimate, but a very unprofessional way to do business. My situation is a purported $21 balance left after insurance paid Piedmont Radiology for a mammogram and bone density over a year ago. I thought all was paid, so rep on other line of 404-634-9196 said they would send me a statement and I'll go through my records. I can't believe Piedmont Hospital / Radiology Associates of Atlanta would use such a sketchy billing service. The entire process felt like a scam phone call. Will report later if not legitimate.
I received a call from 405-308-4474 callingpost com. The recording asked me to call 404-634-9196. I did and the recording said "Doctor's Billing something or other" I finally got a person, said they were from a radiologist. I had a bill from a radiologist that I had paid and the check has cleared the bank. I was asked to fax a copy of both and front of the check. I'm not sure if I want to. I asked why I had to do this when it was their office that messed up. Not sure what to do.
Received a message from this number on 4/28/09. As stated by others, they said it was "Your doctor's billing office, [calling regarding a billing matter]." I called the number back and a recording answered, "Your doctor's billing office," and they asked me to have my account number ready. I waited for ~50 seconds then hung up. I tried whitepages.com and found the number to be "unpublished". I didn't think to google the number until after calling and hanging up.

I received the same message as below. The voicemail advised me to call (404)634-9196, something about a doctor's office. Since I have actually had a radiology appt that I have yet to pay for, it may be legit. Still a little weary about calling back. I'm just going to call the hospital where I had the screening.
