Sounds like scammers, just ignore the calls.
You have the legal right under the FDCPA to dispute all debts.

I have been receiving calls from these people for almost two months now. I had blocked the number once before but it either expired or they found a new number. This time a young gentleman called me saying this was my last opportunity to resolve an account from 2008 or 2009. They called once before saying the same thing but mentioned a different year and debtor. These people must really think some people are just dumb! If the information against me were true I told them I will see them in court. That's when they got rude with me and eventually hung up on me...I will file a report against them soon. I am tired of the harassment!
Based on the collection law, the third party collection agency must send you something via mail so that you can possibly dispute debt. If the caller does not send you a letter, ask them never to call you again. If they do, file the report with the PD and file a complaint with FTC and AG for them braking the law. Fines are huge.
I have been getting calls from these people daily..than when i told them i would not pay them because i settled already with the account they were calling about the calls stopped..but only for 5 days..got another call yesterday from 404-996-0798 but it was automated..they think they can collect overhead expenses from the debt not being payed on time..yet the original debtor says no..i dont want to talk to these people anymore.....and the keep calling my work! HELP
