I received a call from this number stating they were an affiliate of Google and that if I wanted my business to be associated with their search engine directory to "press 1 now". Naturally I was smart enough to know better than to press any buttons not knowing where this phone number was coming from. Just answering the phone confirmed my existence so we'll see what happens now.
I have received numerous calls from this company (at least 10-15), though I have never asked for their services. When I answer, the automated message tells me to press 1 to be connected to someone who can reduce my debt or press 2 to be taken off the call list. When I press 2, I still get the calls. When i press 1 and ask that I be taken off the list, I still get calls. When i do not answer at all, I still get calls.
Yes, the past several days, one call each day. I have reported it to the do not call registry/FTC and FCC. Both of the latter tell me that these are "scammer" calls and are not tele marketers so the do not call registry can't help BUT I called my phone carrier, Comcast, and told me how I can block unwanted calls so they were the first tele # I entered and you can do it from home. I have been deluged with these type of calls since last Sept, all basically the same "debt reduction co" with no name. They all seem to originate from ND/SD and MT and most are unpub cell #'s.Not sure how or why i am getting these calls but they are most annoying. All are recorded with no company name. Whatever you do, if you get these calls and it states to press a # to get off their list, don't do it., It further's the problem and they pass on our #'s to others. Just hang up or "pre screen" your calls while they are ringing if you can. Mine flash the # across the tv screen if I am at home and tv is on. That way, I know not to answer. Also, if you have the *69 feature to find out your last call, do it often.
