Got call from this number just now, accent, noted they were from Microsoft and my computer had malicious code and was notifying them. I said "No." He kept talking. I said "No." again. He said sorry Bryan, Im not getting you. I said "You dont know what no means? Bye" Click. A$$ hats.
It's a computer scam. They claim to be from Microsoft and will charge your credit card to "fix" problems on your computer that don't exist, if you give them access. Total criminals looking for gullible people. They call me about once a month from various numbers. If I'm not busy I'll play dumb and see how long I can keep them on the line before they get mad and hang up.
Never give out your phone number. These scammers get your phone number if you enter it on any site or give team kia's $$$ giveaway your phone number at their event in your town because they will hand it out. Every time we have gotten a call ot was an indian man. I think a woman once. They claim to be from Microsoft and say you hace viruses and want to fix it. They first start by making you downloading a program that allows them to control your computer. Next they go to an error log and pretend they are viruses, then finally they try to charge you for them to help out. I hope none of you fall for this scam. Also if they call you then just say mean things or play along or even hangup. Since it is their 3rd time calling (never happened again until kia event) I told the guy 'I know this is not true you can hang up.' Then he asked if he could talk to computer owner and I said 'No.' Then he said some stuff i could not understand and i said 'Bye! :)'
