Got call from this number just now, accent, noted they were from Microsoft and my computer had malicious code and was notifying them. I said "No." He kept talking. I said "No." again. He said sorry Bryan, Im not getting you. I said "You dont know what no means? Bye" Click. A$$ hats.
This called was as described by the others allegedly from Microsoft's Windows Service Center. I have received dozens of call like this (some saying they were from Dell, or HP as well) and each saying they received a message that there was a problem with my computer and wanting me to go to a website through which I would allow them control of my computer. Not gonna happen!
This time I cut her off before she get into her pitch and told her that "by law I was required to tell her that this call is being recorded". She hung up in record time. Maybe this will put an end to this nonsense.
I received a call from someone at this number claiming to be a tech from Microsoft telling me that ny computer was sending them messages. I knew this to be a scam and laughed and told the caller that I would have a talk with my computer about sending messages without my approval and told the caller not to call me back and hung up on him.
Just got a call a little while ago, said hello about three times then they hung up. I'm always getting calls from people staying that they're from Microsoft. I always report the number to the Do Not Call Registry.
