Got call from this number just now, accent, noted they were from Microsoft and my computer had malicious code and was notifying them. I said "No." He kept talking. I said "No." again. He said sorry Bryan, Im not getting you. I said "You dont know what no means? Bye" Click. A$$ hats.
Caller asked if I was Jennifer. I said yes. she then identified herself as Alanna, said she was a Microsoft Engineer. The title shocked me and I laughed and said "WHAT?!" There was a slight pause, and then suddenly she spoke extremely fast in what sounded like Spanish. I tried to interrupt, saying, "No, no, it's okay, I speak English," but once she finished whatever she was saying, she hung up. Absolutely a scam
Just received a call on my cell phone. This must be the tenth time I am getting these calls. Thought I would give him a hard time. The Indian (from India) accent said that they have been receiving e-mails from my computer and that there is a problem with my system. I asked him what company he was from. He said he was from Windows. I said you mean, MicroSoft? I told him I have not used my computer in months, so how could this be happening? He said, "Don't you want to get your computer fixed?". I said, "How did you get my phone number?". He gave me some run around about getting it from the 'Research Department'. I said that I never gave out this number to anyone, so how could they have my number? We went around and around a few times like this, then he asked me how old I am. I said old enough to know better . . . "How old are you?". He said you must be at least 80 years old since you can't remember what I just said. Then, he started to tell me to "shut-up"! I told him I wanted his name, phone number and his manager's name and phone number. He told me that I should hang up now. After a few more back and forths, he finally did the hanging up. Foreigner saying they are from Microsoft and that there is a problem with windows on my computer. same type call I was getting from 202-879-3355 claiming to be from Dell tech support saying there was a prob w/computer ignore this as it is a scam!
