Here it is the END of February 2011 and these calls are STILL continuing. I agree with "Carrij" in that the PHONE COMPANIES MUST BE IN ON THIS; if they wanted to stop this they would. ALSO, we got the SAME thing when we added internet; all of a sudden we had a dozen calls in one day; which tells me they are POSTING our number out there somewhere.
I just tried calling them back and I get a one of those tones like a disconnected phone number would give ant then it says all circuits are busy now please try again later. I don't know who these people are or what they want, but it seems as if the national do not call list has become a worthless tool, as I am receiving a ridiculous amount of scam and telemarketing calls again, and I update my NDNC information once every 6 months just to cover my own tail.
You are absolutely correct. I just called that number back and did as you said. It's an automated recording saying if you do not want to take part in their special promotions (no idea for what) then press 1 and you will be placed on our Do Not Call list. Thanks so much Kimber2270!
