The phone rang as I was walking past, and I couldn't see the caller id without my glasses! Picked it up and got the "Rachel" recording babbling about my credit. Thank goodness my dog decided to bark up a storm, and I hung up to check on her. I'm also on the "do not call" list. How do we get rid of these stupid interuptions?!
Wasn't home, but I was curious to know who had called because it said "Florida Call" and I wondered if it was my niece. I have no complaints except from what I've seen on this website.
They called again on the 13th but I wasn't at home at the time. They had called several weeks ago and I pressed 9 to "lower your interest rate" only so I could advise I was on a Do Not Call list. The rep never identified his company, but was tongue tied when I asked which credit card company he represented.
Received phone call offering to lower my credit card interest rate but did not state which card she was talking about. I figured this was another crank call. I told her "Great, go ahead and do it!" Woman said she needed some information first to be sure I qualified. Told her I never give information over the phone but if she would send me the questions on her company letterhead, I would respond promptly. She got angry and said, "I'm not gonna send you [***]!" and hung up. I feel if these scammers want to use my phone to drum up business, they should be required to pay some of my phone bill.
Pressed 9 to speak to an operator, asked what company they were with, and she said Cardmember Services. I was about to tell her to take me off her list, and she hung up on me.
