I have received calls from them on my home office line AND my cell phone line. I actually spoke with a woman from this company for several minutes last week. She explained that she could reduce my credit card rates to 6% at least. I asked her which card she was talking about. She gave me the "any of them" line. I said--"That seems odd because I've talked to ALL of my credit card companies AND I have a zero balance on all of my accounts and none of them will lower my rates for me. How will YOU do it if I can't directly?" She said that "if I qualified, they could help me." I said--"So, you are telemarketing me on my office line and you don't even know if I'm qualified? Plus, you're acting like you're from one of my credit card companies? Sounds a little fishy to me. How about if you put my number on the DO NOT CALL list and leave me alone?" She hung up.
The call I got on my cell phone (with a different area code from my office phone) I didn't answer. I thought they left a message it was only two words from the beginning of a recording then it disconnected.
3/31/09 @ 9:20PM! calling to lower my current Visa card. pressed 9. i wanted to get info on this co!! Couldn't understand the accent too thick & background noise/static too loud. Asked to speak to someone else or give me a number to call back. transfered me to someone else, couldn't understand, transf'd me again, this person wouldn't give me info regarding the company or procedure until i gave them my personal information. i didn't get anywhere finding out more about them so i could register a complaint. There has to be a way to stop this!
I am the owner of a medical billing service and I just received the call on my private line that everyone is frustrated with. My first thought was, what a scam this is.. how can this be stopped?
"Rachel" invites you to lower your credit card rate--as with previous calls I pushed 9 to ask that they remove my name-the male who answered proceeded to berate me and threaten me!!
