I got this call this morning too. No one was on the line. Same as everyone else--when I called back the number was not in service. Someone above mentioned that this was about an auto warranty that was about to expire--this is a newer, but still well-known scam, folks. This is an illegal company, they are soliciting business without regard to the do not call registry. All of our #'s are on that registry, but these people still call. If you are on the DNC list, call your state's attorney general's office and file a complaint. They should be able to track down who's doing this and handle it. These guys are known for claiming that your warranty is about to expire and then trying to sell you a warranty. They have called people that dont even own a car. And our vehicles are all recently purchased, so I know they arent telling the truth if they tell me that my warranty is expiring. This is a SCAM, dont fall for it. They have also used tactics such as claiming to be from the DMV, and saying that if you dont send them money your car wont be legally registered, etc etc, so watch out.
I just got the call. It is a recording from "Heather at account services" It is a phishing call and I get it every other week. How can you stop them if you are already on the do not call list
The recording states it is "Heather, from Account Services" with information about credit cards. Just hang up. We have gotten this exact same recording many times, from various numbers. You are given an option to not receive their calls anymore, but they just use another number to call you from. You don't even have to have credit cards or balances for them to call you. Please don't call back or it may give them a reason to say you wanted them to do business with you.
