I got one today, too (June 16, 2011) I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. Thanks for posting about this being another Portfolio Recovery number.

Do not call again.

They just called me about 30 minutes ago, i didn't hear my phone ring. Debt collector I assume. But as far as I know, in CA, they have to call from the same state to collect money from you.

Started calling me about a credit card debt from 17 years ago that was in my ex wife's name also. The bank in NC went bankrupt 10 years ago.

Just called me, I am in CA, must be portfolio recov cause they have been calling me for months now but i have no idea what for...
