Are you sure you don't mean lawbreaking Portfolio Recovery Associates? The name sans "recovery" appears to be for an innocent looking PR firm in Philly.
Just got a call from them like 10 minutes ago. I am 16. I have a card, but I hardly use it (my mom is teaching me responsibility). I don't understand the need for them to even call my cell. It's summer break, and it's 9:00 am. I was trying to sleep. They should know better.
A bunch of you say you are cases of "not me" or past SoL. If that's 100% true, send PRA a cease-comm notice via USPS Certified with return card. The FTC and many consumer watchdogs explain how to draft one. PRA has hundreds of phone numbers to throw at you. Call blocking is an arms race you will lose. Also mention they have been jingling a mobile device if that's so, which is barred once that's known. This notice sets a legal trap which can pay out statutory fines and actual damages if sprung.

Oh its me alright...my issue is that 99.9% of my bad debt is the past...
over 7 years, and in some cases, 10+ years. I do not care what they do,
I know they will never be able to collect, if it bothers me much more, then
I will just change my cell number. I am not really a phone fan, so I do
not get a lot of calls (other then debt collectors), so I really have nothing
to loose....I guess it is worth it in to them, no matter SOL expired or not, they
are trying to get lucky with that one person that may not know any better....
