I have been recieving calls from this number and many others saying that I have a limited amount of time to lower my interest rates on my credit card and won't say which credit card services that they are working for. I believe that it is a scam in order to get my credit card numbers, which I'm not a fool to just give my card number to anyone that just calls me. I have tried to call the number back and it says that the number has been disconnected. Why can't Verison stop this number from being used for this kind of scam? I have put my numbers on the "Do Not Call" list and still get bothered by telemarketers.
This person called and said they were from Credit card Services and asked for credit account numbers due to a law to lower card rates. I asked how she can verify she is from that company she claimed there was no way to do this and hung up. I want to press charges because she has some of my credit information.
This number just called me. When I'm sitting around doing homework, or reading, and I get one of these calls, I answer and try to sound all excited about getting my credit card rates lowered. When they ask me how much credit card debt I have, I make up a good, juicy number, like $10,000. Then, when they ask me for more information about my credit card, I tell them to wait while I go get it... Then I put the phone down (on speaker) and keep on about my business for as long as these fools will stay on the line. Sometimes they stay on for ten minutes or more. OK, so it ties up my phone line for little while, but I don't have to pay for it, and it's worth it to me to waste their time.
