I have received half a dozen calls from "Beth" at this number looking for a real estate agent that sells homes in [my] area. I was immediately suspicious due to the area code being far from here, but by the third voicemail I realized that she is using the exact same script on each call - definitely sketchy. I finally set my phone to reject her future calls. It must really stick to have her job...
Yeah, I love that. You're with the "local fire dept." but calling from a completely different state. They got voicemail from me.
This is the equivalent of the "paid firefighters" that call asking for donations & they tell you the money will go to the local dept. but it doesn't. It goes into a "general fund" for paid firefighters all over the country. Which isn't horrible, but I think most people that give would like their money to stay in their own dept. & help the local firefighters they know.
A very rude gentleman called today from this number. Asked me questions about my business Yelp map - asking me the coverage area. Then asked questions, someone who lives in the area would know - for instance the city we operate from is in the county he asked about. What he didn't know was that we pull unknownnumbers up on Google for reference - so I knew he was a telemarketer. He goes on to say well I am not a telemarketer - I was looking for someone to do work for me in blah blah county. Nobody says that. We have been in business long enough to know when someone is trying to bully us into some stupid telemarketing scam.
I hope that the company gets the message from the bad reviews - Firehouse Promtions in Florida.
Search on number turned up this site. Is a legit business, but still a waste of money. You never know if the stuff is even printed and/or distributed.
