I have received half a dozen calls from "Beth" at this number looking for a real estate agent that sells homes in [my] area. I was immediately suspicious due to the area code being far from here, but by the third voicemail I realized that she is using the exact same script on each call - definitely sketchy. I finally set my phone to reject her future calls. It must really stick to have her job...
I just received a call from someone stating they are working for the Scottsdale Police Department and that they are starting a "Safety Class" for Scottsdale residents and would like a Tree Cutting business to be represented. He said the company name is "FIREHOUSE, like the sub shop". He wanted information from the owner and wanted to leave a call back number. When I told him to forward any information via e-mail he stated that his admin. assistant is out for the day and could not. It was a less than professional business call and raised many red flags.
Didn't recognize the number, so let it go to voice mail. "Shawn," clearly reading from a script, said he represented a new health and wellness program and wanted to refer a couple of clients to me. As he did not leave a last name or company, there is no way this is something (legit or not) that is worth pursuing. EAPs and Insurance companies always leave their company name.
Got a call from the same phone number from FL. A man named Rekay(?) left a message and said he was looking for a good realtor and want me to call back. I just knew that call must be a scam...
