I keep getting calls from these people saying they represent the PG&E company for discounts on services but when you call the number back they called from-it is not in service. They want you to tell them if you are on SSI or low income, homeowner or doing any repairs to your home.
I also received a call at 6:15pm claiming to be Eddy in Los Gatos from PG&E. He said I was eligible for a 20% discount for the next year, knew my address, and asked me to verify. When I said "Why am I eligible"? the guy hung up. Sounds like some sort of scam.
I just got a call from this number, and he told me he was calling from PG&E. He also ask me is owner or renter, I told him i am renter, beacuse the baby cry, and I didn't told too much, and then disconnect. Now I saw the posts, I know it scam personal
This # has called repeatedly. Today I picked it up. Same PG&E claim. Same CARE story. He gave my last name completely incorrectly. Didn't use part of it & mispronounced the part he did use and kept calling me sir. I asked him to identify himself by name & PG&E ID# & he hung up. This is a phishing expedition-hang up or don't answer.
