Rec'd call from 409-684-2284 Caller ID's name was Consmr Advocate. rang 2x's and then hung up. Right b4 adding this post I reported it to the DNC list. I get about 3-5 calls a week from them.
Obviously you have been drinking heavily. These guys don't care about the DNC! As long as the phone company permits fake caller ID and there is no one to enforce the laws they can do what they want.. If they get .1% of the suckers to bite they are happy. That adds up to Millions to their pockets.
Fix the caller ID problem and get someone in the fed to go after them for real $$$ then they will quit otherwise the
only solution is to not have a phone...
Called this am-I was sleeping and typically turn off my phone but saw they called & didn't leave a message. A quick search shows this is a land line number originating from Galveston, TX and is close enough to be Port Bolivar, which of course, doesn't really mean anything. I keep a notebook just for spam calls and if they call more than twice, I just add them to the list. Been doing this since June 2013.
