Called asking for IT Manager. Said he wasn't allowed to talk to Help Desk, Tech Support, etc. despite calling a help line for our company. Wanted to talk to my boss so I asked for some basic information from him and he hung up on me.
Called wanting to update contact information, I claimed that I was unable to give out names and asked for his contact information, and he claimed that he would research his information and call back
Got a call from 4153665859 asking for my IT Manager, I'm not in IT sorry, I said "Is this _______?" a former coworker, I seriously thought somebody was playing a joke on me, so I was trying to call them out...turns out...he was serious. I said to the guy "My company is huge", as the idiot starts to read off out loud how his machine says that my company has 9,000 whatever number of employees....I said, this isn't a solicitation number you would have to find the proper channel to address your pitch too and he hung up on me. I am curious as to how he got the number
Announced themselves as being on a recorded line, wanted to get me on a mailing list for IBM and Symantec. Annoying, I told them to remove me from their calling list and hung up.
Just noticed a caller from this phone number has tried to reach me 3 times in past hour and perhaps a couple more times through other means. Never picked up, but glad to find this message board with experiences from others.
