By calling the POLICE (I hope NOT 911). What would you being saying to them (as to the nature of your call)?
"aaahhh, Hello, POLICE DEPT:......
It’s almost midnight and I just now got a phone call from someone (i.e. a solicitor)trying to sell me a newspaper subscription from the SF Chronicle and I want to make a complaint because they shouldn't be calling people this late at night." etc, etc...
By calling the police, it would fall into the same category as to this story:
LIKE THE RECORDING OF A PERSON WHO HAD CALLED 911 because....
there was a spider in there house and the person calling, feared spiders, and they were afraid it was going to bite them and wanted the spider out of there house.....
Interestingly enough this number called me on both my land line and my cell phone at precisely the same time! When I picked up my cell it was a recording saying for something or another "press 1".
I hung up, only to hear my land line voicemail getting a message "press 1"
2 days in a row. Funny thing is,they are calling my Magic Jack #. I don't even know that number. No message - just silence. Must be a computer dialing.
