They asked if I wanted to reduce my credit card interest rate and I asked them to put me on their Do Not Call List. They abruptly hung up.
I called back and chose option #2 to put me on their automated Do Not Call list.
Once in a great while,if you're lucky, and speak to one of their scammers who is in a good mood, and claim terminal illness in you family, it might be possible to have your number removed from their calling list,Otherwise be prepared for incessant calls for the remainder of your life!
Yep.Is it annoying to get these calls constantly? Sure is! But on these forums I have never heard from one person who fell for these scammers. Those are the people who should REALLY be upset. To be bothered by the incoming calls is one thing----to have been taken advantage of at the cost of hundreds or thousands of dollars is another.I guess the only way we can do anything to slow down or stop the calls is to try to spread the word of this scam to others who might not be aware of it.It's been going on for years and shows no signs of slowing down.If our government is working on it it sure isn't evident. Those that realize this is a scam should be thankful they are intelligent enough to have not been taken in.Just getting the calls isn't as bad as it could be.
