When I get any calls I dont want, I just get them to pick up the call and say * This is the phoenix police Dept * or pick any police dept and say how may I help you. It tends to scare them off from calling again. Makes me feel better any ways LOL
didn't answer the call because I don't know the number - had a voicemail automated message saying "this is your final notice related to the financial stimulus..."
Received several calls from this number over the past week. Recorded message saying this was my last chance for blah blah blah credit card relief. Called the number back to tell them to quit calling and the number that comes up on the caller ID is disconnected. The number is being spoofed and this by all indications is fraudulent operation trying to get your credit card and personal information for identity theft. Report this to the FTC and FCC if you recive a call.
It was a recorded message about "a second and final notice regarding your credit card rates." Scam scam scam. I also find it interesting that the same day I speak to HBSC about an account, I get seven similar calls.
I signed up for the FED DO NOT CALL and that seems to be a joke. Everyone calls. I pay $9.00 per month tax to the FCC on my phone bill. What is the gov doing for my $108 annual phone tax? I want them to go after these abusers. We pay the FCC for something and I am not sure what that is. I've had a phone for 25 years. $108 per year to the FCC for 25 years is $2700. I want my money back. Gov waste. Why do I pay $4 per month on my home phone line [used only for my house alarm] for 911 and $4 per month on my cell phone? $8.00 for 911 service? Come on GOV, just charge it ONCE.
