When I get any calls I dont want, I just get them to pick up the call and say * This is the phoenix police Dept * or pick any police dept and say how may I help you. It tends to scare them off from calling again. Makes me feel better any ways LOL
I have received several calls from these hot shot scammers. I decided to answer and ask to be removed from their call list. Some "gentleman" on the other end, even before I could finish my sentence told me I was out of control and to F*** off. I have reported them to the DNC people, plus the attorney general;s office in the state where I live plus Better Business Bureau. If you get a call and a "live" person, hit the pound (#) button on your phone and hold it for about 10 seconds. The person on the receiving end will hear a loud schreech - then hang up. It has worked for me with some of these scammers. If you get a recording, it won't work.
Received call from phone number 501-321-4569. Recording stated this was my second call and that I needed to talk to someone about my credit card immediately before my interest rate went up. The recording then instructed me to push the number one if I wanted to speak to a representative. When the representative came on the line I asked who the company was that was calling. They then quickly hung up. I then dialed back the number but received a recorded message that the number had been disconnected. These guys need to be put out of business.
Received this and minutes after a call from a Florida cell 321-527-9999. Answered the Florida call to no response. Feel free to report to whoever. I'm sure the numbers are spoofed.
