I've received several calls from them the past week. I don't think that this is with Family Life because we've received calls from them before and their name is listed on the caller id (of course I could be wrong). I may answer it the next time to see who it is.
im glad i read your post. if its an affiliate of Family Life Today, then im much more at ease about it. i listen to their Christian radio station daily and i support it. it would be helpful if they left a message on my machine explaining who they are and what they want...but dont call several times per day b/c thats just flat out annoying!!! if someone is using them to pull in money, then thats something they need to be figuring out b/c it only ruins the credibility and name of Family Life Today...a Christian organization that is WORTHY of having a good name.
I received a call they asked my wife & when I said she wasn't home & can I take a message they said "no message" & hung up I understand this might be a company that is contracted by Family Life (which we are familiar with) but they company is not professional. The reps on the phone are on commission & I am sure have a certain amount of calls they have to make a day.
Dr Detective.... The number 1-501-588-1986 belong to the Family Live , My lawyer called the donorcarecenter and they're in Ohio and according with their lawyer they're not making those calls. Finally after lawyer talks they admit the number belong to them.
Well now we're ready to Sue them because they do not stop calling after we notified them that the number is in the DO NOT CALL LIST and they agreed to STOP CALLING. Maybe the Family Life is a good Org but their poor tactic will get them in trouble..
I will make some money thank to them, but do not worry, I told my lawyer i will donate my whole part to the Children Hospital.
I am getting several calls as well. The best thing to do is just not answer. Unless you have one of the cool new phones then you can just block them. Not a big deal. I do hate that I foot the phone bill but can't stop unwanted callers. There should be push back on the phone companies. It is hard to blame those who try to use a service we, the consumer, has no control over. If it were the cable company no one would be allowed to just bust in on the service I payed for. Stand up and tell the phone company to make them stop calling, the first time you ask and for free.
No one needs to have your personal phone number to annoy you. There is something called a call list. It is just numerical. If you didn't answer your number, it just goes back on the list. You can waste all your time wanting to sue, even trying to sue. However, it really is a waste of time. Consumers need to get together and tell the phone company we are not going to put up with it anymore.
