Yes I receive calls from the same number.... The gentleman I speak with calls every year and is very polite. I have researched the organization and they are legit. If any of you people think that fund raising is free your an idiot. No matter if other organizations say it is 100% it is NOT. There are cost to everything.
Postage is not free, nor is rent, electricity, water, and gas bills. I donate to many things and are very familiar with the processes in the fund raising. The people who call and handle the fund raising for the A.S.P.A. are as good as it gets and answer me honestly when I question them......I am proud I support my State Troopers even if it means a few dollars go to support another persons pay....AT LEAST THEY ARE WORKING FOR A LIVING AND NOT LIVING OFF OUR TAX DOLLARS ON WELFARE!
I also get calls from this number. They raise funds for the A.S.P.A which is the Arkansas State Police Association. This is a very good fundraising drive! Also to those who are on the "Do Not Call List" that is for telemarketers selling differant thing to you over the phone. I did research an found this out! They are a 501 C non profit organization there for the National Do Not Call list does not apply to them. If you would like to be taking off there list tell them when they call an they will do so. You will be off within a month. They also get paid for doing a good job! If you think about it none of the money you donate anywhere goes directly to the program. They do give more to the program than any other program would. KEEP THAT IN MIND!!
I too am a supporter of our state's troopers; however, I pledged, but never received anything in the mail. I have a nice checkfor them and would love to get it to them and would if I had an address. Can you help me? Thanks....Sue
this telemarketing company called TELCOM @1-800-441-7339 keeps .76 cents of every dollar that you donate to charities such as ARKANSAS STATE POLICE ASSOCIATION. That means only .23 cents of your dollar goes to the charity. YOUR DONATION IS NOT TAX DEDUCTABLE EITHER, SO BE AWARE AND DO NOT CONTRIBUTE!
