Haha.. for you people that don't understand it is a company called telcom which is telecommunications - the aspa pretty much hires that company to do all the calling for them to get donations people don't just sit in a office calling people for a fundraiser and not get paid unless that person had no life and living for free .. nothing in life is free- aspa is arkansas state police association . they also call for apo which is arkansas police Olympics , and they have kids wish network. among many others.. the company telcom gets 77%, and the others get 23% .. for those out there that think that is ridiculous think about the phone bills every month and the electricity bills.. those have to be paid.. nothing in life is free no matter who your working with or living at , the company usually raises about 1 million+ a year for the program its self and all that money is for them and what ever they want to use it for .. the rest pays for bills and employment.. its a 501C non profit organization .. thanks :)
also for the ones complaining about being on the DO NOT CALL LIST.. like i said it is a 501C non profit organization and they do not provide by that list.. if you advise not to be called.. next time let them know put you on the irate tell them hit that A button i wanna be on the irate to never be called again.. when you say do not call me the hit the no interest button and usually calls you back next year for that program.. but like i said there are many different things they call for.. so your gonna get called by 6 / 7 different programs a year if not a few more.. when you don't answer they will keep calling it is an automotive system that calls by itself unless you have donated in the past than they call you back by hand..
and the people talking about being hung up on or noone being on the line or noone answering after you call back .. like i said its an automatic system calling from a computer that sends different phone numbers out to the other pcs that people are sitting on waiting for someone to answer.. sometimes the phone lines drop before someone gets the call on there computer or they hang up because you said hello to fast and they didn't hear you say hello and all they hear is a blank cause most the people working for them are bone heads.. and when you call back sometimes it does go to there computer but it will be put in as someone elses name so when they say hello is this john and you say no you think wtf haha right ? but thats because you called back and someone else info is on there screen ..
haha first off you say 76cents and 23cents ? cmon now learn how to calculate .. 77cents and 23cents = 100.. dip [***].. and they don't keep all that money for them selfs that money helps pay bills which cost allot .. phone bills / electricity bills.. trust me i have worked for the company before and we don't get paid very much it all depends how much donations we get which we only get 22% than 23% goes to aspa or any other program they have.. the veterans program is tax deductible like i said they have many different programs out there.. and we are not the ones that chose that percentage the aspa did.. think about how much will have to go to bills to keep the program running.. say about 30%.. which = 75% than you have the people that mail the stuff out to the people that donate .. which is about another 7%.. which is 82% .. the managers and bosses only get arround 2% each for themselfs so its called = for allot so don't judge if you don't understand or know
Raised funds for the group for years. Ken from previous post worked with me. 23% goes to the ASPA, 20-30% paid to the caller, and the company employing the callers gets the rest. 30% of the money is retained by the home company in Alabama. They will lie and tell you it all stays in Arkansas and it is 501-3c when it is not the truth. Dont waist your time with mailed donations. If somebody dont come pick it up then it aint local.
