Same-thing Steve Martin called identified as US Treasury threatening to take me to a Grand Jury or Magistrate (Court) called twice filed complaint with FTC as a Government scam
Same old story as above, threats of arrest and being taken to court. Said we owe money to the IRS which is a bunch of BS. We were on speaker phone and my wife yells out "SCAMMER" and Steve Martin (with foreign accent) immediately hangs up.
About 20 minutes later call comes from same number but we already blocked the call so he could not get through.
Don't fall for this Crap.
There is a widespread IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.
