Same story with same name Steve Martin called from 530-405-3813 regarding adjudication of the magistrate for a criminal offense. He called 4 times within 5 hours on same day. Don't fall for this scam.
Caller ID = Woodland CA, voicemail saying this was a "second and final" detention notice and if we responded it would keep up from "Magistrates" and "Court". Foreign (Indian) accent. Complete scam that many others have already identified. Who in the world would fall for this???
I got 2 voicemails last night from Steve Martin from that same number in Woodland, CA. He didn't mention the IRS but urged me to call him to avoid having to appear before a judge for a federal offense regarding an enforcement action against me by the U.S. Treasury. Today I got a call from 424-294-0298, which I answered. Again it was a voice mail from Steve Martin with the same message, but to call him at the 424 number. He has a foreign accent and sounds like the same guy that has called me multiple times regarding my supposed problem with Windows on my computer. In spite of me yelling at him to stop calling and I know it's a scam, he continues to call about that.
