this number called me and had my husband's name (phone listed in his name), saying they could see my computer had errors. I asked for their supervisor and after some choice words, someone else got on the line. I said that I knew it was a scam an that I was going to the newspaper and tv station. then told them where to go. I am now going to newspaper and tv station with my info....yes and when you call back the number it says it is disconnected.
I've gotten many of these calls and I like to mess with them. I play dumb and say I have a Commodore 64 with a phone modem. It normally takes them several minutes to get frustrated with me and hang up. Today was different. The first person on the line was a woman, but I barely said hello before a guy came on, who then after I told him I couldn't find the Windows Start button told me to do something anatomically impossible with my computer. We then traded tales of our recreational activities with each other's female relatives before he hung up. Either he recognized my voice or (hopefully) I'm on some internal do-not-call/[***] list which will prevent these calls in the future. I will miss the sport though!

Said she was from the Dept of Justice and that my bank charged me more than I needed to pay for my last stay at Travelodge.
I invited them to go through their routine and she hung up.
This number just called me saying they were from Microsoft Tech Support Center and he wanted me to go to my computer and go to a website which would tell me the numerous errors which they have been receiving for the last week. I played dumb for several minutes and then I told him that I worked with a company investigating fraud phone calls and I thanked him for staying on the line with me long enough to allow me to track his IP address and location of the internet/VoIP line he was calling from and he gasped a couple of times and then hung up on me.
