I got a call from this number. If it is Land's End I think it's legit, because I placed an order with them last month.
I've worked in market research for 17 years, & I started out in a phone center. Our phone system was such that you couldn't call back the numbers we dialed from - it was a complicated system of rollover numbers, etc. But calls like this are usually legit if you've done business with the company recently.
Most of the work my center did was random digit dialing, (a computer paired up valid area codes & prefixes & randomly assigned 4-digit suffixes) so I have no experience with how to deal with another type of company who has your number. I imagine if you answer your phone & ask them to remove you from their call list they will. They probably want happy customers more than they want you to do a survey.
Hi everybody! I also got a call from this number. I didn't answer and no voicemessage left...Anyways...I do believe it's Land's End...I also ordered stuff from them online!
just received this call ON MY CELL PHONE!!! Some company wanting to renew my car warranty...it gave me an option to press 1 to speak with a representative...I did...it then had me hold to some terrible music for about a minute...then I got a live person saying they would ask me a few questions then direct me to a specialist...she then asked me who she was speaking with and I said "The owner of this phone number who wants to be placed on your do not call list!"...She then hung up on me.
