Do not pay a dime to these people. Just simply ignore their calls.
This place calls my wife's cell and my cell at least once or twice a week claiming that she owes back tuition from 2003 to a local community college in NYS that she attended. All the reps are extremely rude and have consistently refused to let me speak to a supervisor as my wife was never billed nor even contacted by the college for any amounts past due.
My advice to all is to check your credit report. If there is no claim on there then what are they collecting? My wife's report is free of any delinquencies or claims to this day and I monitor it monthly. If anything shows up as a result, I will update my post.
I've also heard that there is a statute of limitations on collecting these amounts and that the calls come more frequently as the deadline approaches (I believe it is 6 or 7 years).
The same thing happened to me.
I attended 1 night and was in the middle of medical tests for a heart and lung condition. I withdrew from the whole program because of an anxiety attack and they didn't care of the reason they just want their money.
