Wow... Someone is a bit paranoid. Have you not takin your meds lately?? LoL you think scammers are that hard up and dedicated to go through all that? They couldn't care less what you or anyone else thinks... they move o.j. to the next potential victim because there are so many gullible people out there. It's easy for them. I've never gotten calls from this number until my Chase account closed about a month or two ago. It is JP Morgan company whether you think it's a scam or not. I can pretty much guarantee that YOU and every one else on this site that has gotten a call does indeed have or had an account or debt that is either directly with Chase or an affiliate.
This number claims to be Chase bank and they call about overdue debt collections.
HOW DO WE KNOW IT'S FAKE?
1. They ask for your full credit card number over the phone. If this was a real bank call, they'd already have your card information and would ask for a 4-number verification. The fact that they want you to read your full credit card number over the phone is an IMMEDIATE indicator that they are a SCAM.
2. There is usually an Indian/middle Eastern person on the other line with an overly-American name, such as Hayden, Jackson, Tyler, Brianna, Caroline, etc. This is a tactic taught by scammer companies to trick people into thinking they are legitimate callers.
3. Probably the most definite proof: My wife and I get these calls about four times a week, but either one of us has NEVER had a Chase bank account! How can they be saying our CHASE accounts have a debt to be paid when we have never had a Chase account to begin with?
This is some ol' fakestuff. Block this number ASAP.
