There is something very fishy about these people. I just called them back on a different number 626-851-8253. I simply asked what court houses they worked with and she hung up on me.
I tried again and asked if they could call the inglewood courthouse with me on the phone and she hung up on me. These people are frauds.
I have been getting calls on and off over the past year. Everytime they have called I have sent them a fax with a reciept for the payment to the Inglewood courthouse. I keep asking them to confirm they recieved the fax but they will not call me back or fax me back.
These people must be frauds. I would not suggest giving them any information.
I got a call from this number today august 17, it was a woman stating she was my secretary and she was returning my phone calls and asked me to call back at a 1-800 number, obviously not calling back.
Received a message from this number today. It was a woman who said it was "urgent" that her call be returned to an 800 number which was 1-800-727-5848. I did call back and asked what company she was with. She said "GC Services" and asked me for my account number. I told her that I didn't know what GC Services was and therefore could not give her an account number. She asked for the phone number that I received the message on. I gave it to her and she asked if I was a certain person. I said no and that she needed to remove my phone number from the database. She said thank you and hung up....end of story...for today. (GC Services is, from my further research, "the largest privately-held outsourcing provider of call center management and collection agency services in North America".
These calls are from a collection agency that works for all the county courts. They are trying to collect for a current, or prior unpaid trafiic violation of some sort. They are a royal pain in the a**, to say the least! I received a call from them recently for a violation that I thought was paid some 3 years ago! And now they tell me the fine is more than doubled because of the time that has elapsed. They "claim" that they send out letters, which is COMPLETE nonsense. If I had received any letters sometime within the last 3 years, then the fine would have been paid and would NOT be what they claim it is now. (Which I think is part of there ploy to suck more money out of people!)
I keep getting calls from this number but don't answer, I don't have a car, a drivers license or have ever even driven before...I don't know why they would be calling me. Any ideas?
