There is something very fishy about these people. I just called them back on a different number 626-851-8253. I simply asked what court houses they worked with and she hung up on me.
I tried again and asked if they could call the inglewood courthouse with me on the phone and she hung up on me. These people are frauds.
I have been getting calls on and off over the past year. Everytime they have called I have sent them a fax with a reciept for the payment to the Inglewood courthouse. I keep asking them to confirm they recieved the fax but they will not call me back or fax me back.
These people must be frauds. I would not suggest giving them any information.
This number is for GC Services a collection agency used by various city/municipalities for collecting old/unpaid traffic tickets. They cannot suspend your drivers license. Only the department of motor vehicles (in california) can do that. They cannot tow your vehicle, but the cops that pull you over for driving on a suspended license can and may. They do not buy dept from city/municipalities like some collection agencies. They collect the full amount that the city/municipality claims you owe and add a service fee. Once the city/municipality turns the ticket over to them they claim you cannot negotiate the fee and can't go to court to talk to a judge. I don't believe this is legal (in california) as it violates your right to due process under the law. The debt/violation they're trying to may be so old that it's uncollectable. Check with the court and dmv or who ever issues drivers licenses in your state.
I have been talking to these guys for several weeks now about unpaid tickets. I figured it was legite so i tried to reason with them and come up with some type of payment arrangement. Whats funny is that they have had 1 of my accounts for months before I called and tried to make payments. When I called to notify them that I would make a payment in 2weeks they immediatley got rude and told me they needed a checking account# and half of the full payment otherwise they would take further action and throw penalty fees at me. They even asked if I had friends or family that had checking accounts to do this payment. When i told them I was financially unable to make a payment until 2 weeks they started throwing more legal crap. A few times the lady "MOSLEY" would even make rude comments like "stop actin like a kid" and "instead of crying about it make a payment". Finally i called them and asked for their names and asked if they recorded the conversations because I was going to subpeona those recorded conversations for proof. They told me that "they may or maynot MONITOR calls but they dont record. The Managers so called name is MR COLUMBUS. Apperently they are legite because when i called the courthouse about them they said that they were the collection agency that took the unpaid traffic fines. Either way there has to be something done about the way they handle these accounts so rudely and unproffessional. I am very happy that this website exists because I am going to show that there are more people than I that are having problems with this agency. i know this is long but im so freakin frustrated with GC Services when all im trying to do is take care of this problem
Back again with more dirt. I have unpaid tickets that im trying to resolve so that I can get the hold taken off my license, but I have to pay GC Services in full in order for that to happen. Well I paid one of those tickets off and they told me I had to wait 30 days for them to release it.Thats a bunch of crap. I called the courthouse that sent my account to GC Services and asked if I could get the hold off sooner and they said if you paid in it full, that you can contact GC and have them fax over the payment release to the courthouse and they would take the hold off that same day. When I called GC to have them fax over the release, they said "it takes 30 days and that they didnt know what I was talkin about" so i contacted the courthouse and told them I paid in full and what do you know, "I had the release taken off that day"! Dont let these guys intimidate you, they are running an unethical practice and dont count on what they say. If you really have to find out the real facts, contact the courthouse that sent your info to them and ask questions. Lots of them otherwise these guys will make life difficult for you.
Caller leaves a message in a very officious tone, giving his first name only and an 800 number to reply to. Does not identify his company or state his business. The area code is for Pasadena, etc., in the Los Angeles area.
been receiving calls for the past couple of days. the person never leaves messages. i answered once and i told the man that i wasn't there. i tried to call back but receive a busy tone all the time.
