The caller is selling bible Hebrew language study courses. I know because they called me several times trying to get me to buy the on-line course. Expensive!!!
Received call from this # today. Name shows as 'unknown'. All my telephone numbers are on the Federal Communications Do Not Call registry. They didn't leave a message and we refuse to answer any # that shows as 'unknown caller' & restricted #s are automatically rejected.
I just dialed the number back. It's the eLearning company for learning different languages. When I called all I could get were recordings. You can't get to a real person. I had emailed for information a week ago. Seeing that calling them only results in pre-recorded messages lets me know that I'm not taking any language course through them. I prefer talking to real people, not recordings. It's also too bad that when they call you their name shows on the caller id as 'Unknown'.
This report site doesn't give the correct call type for this sort of call. Therefor I must leave 'Call Type' as unknown in the drop down list.
This phone number 646-200-5822 has called me about 5 times a day for the past week. I never pick up when they call. After reading that other people have picked up and just hear music, and when they call directly they just get music, I have come to the conclusion that this is a PHONE NUMBER HARVESTING SCAM and they are looking for live numbers. I believe your best bet is to not answer. I hope that they stop calling or else I may have to change my number. I also believe that this phone number is being spoofed from outside the U.S. to look like a New York number, because sometimes the number shows up as "+6462005822". The + symbol is usually used when dialing internationally.
