i took over a cell phone from steven and julie owens. this man keeps calling wanting them. i have told him many times i took over the phone and to remove my number from his records. he keeps calling . he has called more than 20 times since i asked him not to. he also called at 4:08 a.m. i want his harrassing me to stop. my id says georgia call 6784861027.he argues with me over why the phone says steven owens. i have told him i got the phone from steven and julie. and stop calling and waisting my time and minutes and aggervating me. now he is calling at 4:08 and waking me up. it has to stop. thanks

Go to the FTC website and file a complaint against these idiots for violation of Section 805 of the FDCPA:
a) COMMUNICATION WITH THE CONSUMER GENERALLY. Without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, a debt collector may not communicate with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt --
(1) at any unusual time or place or a time or place known or which should be known to be inconvenient to the consumer. In the absence of knowledge of circumstances to the contrary, a debt collector shall assume that the convenient time for communicating with a consumer is after 8 o'clock antimeridian and before 9 o'clock postmeridian, local time at the consumer's location...
Inform them the next time they call that they have been reported to the Federal Trade Commission and if they don't stop calling you, your next stop will be your State's Attorney General's office.

I have been receiving calls from this number every morning at 8:00 am. They have been calling my parents house in North carolina, and even my grandmother in new jersey whom I haven't seen in a year! When I asked what they wanted they tell me that they have a confidential letter that they need to send me, but first I must verify my address and part of my SS#. If there is law suit being filed, add me to it!
They just called about 10 minutes ago (they have called before). The lady asked for some unknown person to me and I told her she had the wrong number and she still proceeded to give me information. She gave me the guy's address and it was in San Antonio, I told her ma'am this number you called is in Houston. Frickin Idiots!!
