I think i will setup an IVR (Integrated Voice Response) server, and hook my cell to the secondary computer, I can lead them on a merry chase and eventually lead them to the FTC main hotline number..
Honestly people, unless you want to "play" with your prey, I would suggest just ignoring the numbers you do not know or are listed in a way that you can identify them..
I can understand the need to know (this site has provided the basic information for you) they are a creditor service provider, they buy up bad debts for pennies on the dollar and then try to make a profit turnaround based upon a percentage operation, sometime they can make it seem that you are rcieving a great deal, but hide it in a ballon "final" payment or integrate it as "living costs adjustment" an any case, they make a good deal of money for so low a purchase price.
Cell phone numbers are illegal to trap, however any form of payment buy your bank to a bill which has alternate phone numbers on it, make it a viable an legal means to access the phone numbers on the bill notice..
Please do not ever give out you private numbers as alternates, not even you business numbers because that can lead to you losing your job for such a small oversite.
We received a call from this number also. My husband answered the call which they proceeded to call him by his name and asked him about being a reference for ____ Mendes. My husband told them he did not know anyone by this name and ended the call. What we are baffled about is how he knew my husband's name. We have gotten several calls in the past that are fraud calls .....including inmates. We just let the calls go unless they escalate then we take action. It is scary sometimes to know people can get away with this.
I've been getting a call from this number every day about 830 a.m. I've called back twice, but they don't answer. After 2 rings, it sounds like it switches to --a machine?, but it still rings and rings.
I DON'T OWE ANY MONEY. So I have no idea why this National Credit company would keep calling me.
Quite annoying.
I got this call this morning..Did not answer..googled # and here i am..I have an am-ex- card ..never used it...they prob. want me to use it..If that is true, i will cut it up..ha ha ha
