7/21/2009 Just got a call and went to call back and no answer. I Googled the phone number and got this page. I don't have any idea why they would be calling if it's a bill collector????
* Make repeated and continuous phone calls
* Make phone calls at any unusual time or place
* Call you at work if you tell the collector the calls are not
allowed or inconvenient
* Disclose your debt to others
* Threaten that you will go to jail or be arrested if you do not pay
your debt
* Threaten violence or physical harm
* Threaten to garnish wages, but not tell you it must first get a
judgment
* Threaten to embarrass you by contacting others if you don't pay
* Contact your family or friends for reasons other than verifying
your location
* Telephone your employer more than once and for purposes other than
verifying employment
* Contact any person without disclosing its true identity
* Use profane or abusive language
* Contact you after you tell the debt collector to stop
* Misrepresent that it is affiliated with the government
* Misrepresent the amount of a debt
* Take or threaten to take acts that are unlawful or not intended to
be taken
* Threaten to communicate or communicate false information to credit
reporting bureaus
