Received the same call as Technology Fails Us today. Exact same words and before I called this rude indignant person back, I thought I better google the number as my identity has been compromised before. I thought the same thing, I don't owe anyone and surely if I did have outstanding balances it would be handled civilly. Better yet my husband works for the Gov't and I'm reporting this number.
They said they were a creditor and this is the "final notice" that they were going to sue me. They left a number to call back, when I called it just went in to a automated voicemail. They ended the call"see you in court" I don't owe anyone money, and if I did, the call was very threatening and abusive. I would sue them back based on that! What fools, don't fall for it!
I received the same message telling me that the credit bureau was suing me & I would be arrested. Apparently this same type of call is coming from similar phone numbers out of Santa Ana, CA. This is a total bs scam. If I were in debt or being sued, I'd receive notification by mail first. Also, a legitimate credit bureau would state their name in the voice message. Yet another number to block on my phone.

This call is insane, totally threatening!! I have never gotten a voicemail like this before!! telling me I am being arrested and see you in court ! unbelievable the lengths these scumbags will go to!
