Received the same call as Technology Fails Us today. Exact same words and before I called this rude indignant person back, I thought I better google the number as my identity has been compromised before. I thought the same thing, I don't owe anyone and surely if I did have outstanding balances it would be handled civilly. Better yet my husband works for the Gov't and I'm reporting this number.
These people are insane. I called the number back and a lady answer. I said who the hell are you and her response is "let me check". I said check what and she hung up on me. Called back but only got the voicemail. Who the [***] are these people? They need to be stopped.
They answered when I returned their call. I told them I couldn't wait to see them in court. I asked how she got paid for scamming, folks, does the mastermind pay her minimum wage? She hung up... :(
I got the same call on March 3 at 4:01pm CST. Went to voicemail. From a very angry lady that did not seem recorded. Here's the transcript:
"This is a final notice from credit bureau we are filing a lawsuit against you and you will be arrested either at your home or from your workplace. If you need any further information you can reach me at 714-277-4030. See you in court."
I just received the same message. The exact same script as described above. The script must be working if they are still doing it. I wish we had someone to call about this, it is like the wild west.
