Received the same call as Technology Fails Us today. Exact same words and before I called this rude indignant person back, I thought I better google the number as my identity has been compromised before. I thought the same thing, I don't owe anyone and surely if I did have outstanding balances it would be handled civilly. Better yet my husband works for the Gov't and I'm reporting this number.
Thanks for your post. I just received the same voicemail. Glad to know it's not true. It's interesting that they have our number to contact us that we are getting sued but didn't have our number to contact us about paying what we "owed."
This is the most ludicrous VM I have ever received. Very threatening, and if someone had overheard that VM I would have been embarrassed, even if it isn't legit. This is terrible. Please get these perps.
