Received the same call as Technology Fails Us today. Exact same words and before I called this rude indignant person back, I thought I better google the number as my identity has been compromised before. I thought the same thing, I don't owe anyone and surely if I did have outstanding balances it would be handled civilly. Better yet my husband works for the Gov't and I'm reporting this number.
"This is a final notice from credit bureau we are filing a lawsuit against you and you will be arrested either at your home or from your workplace. If you need any further information you can reach me at 714-277-4030. See you in court.
I am lucky enough to have no outstanding debts but even if I did have civil debts, a failure to repay has not been an arrestable offense since the mid 1800s
SCAMMER DON'T ANSWER!! - Received call from 714-277-4030 which left a voice message that states: "This is a final notice from credit bureau. Got the same message today. A couple of problems with this message. She said she was from the "Credit Bureau". There are 3 credit bureaus, Experian, Trans Union, and Equifax. A real caller from a bureau would have identified themselves as one of those bureaus. Also, credit bureaus don't sue you. So nice try, scammer lady!!!
3/6/17 Just got this same threatening voice mail left on my phone. Don't owe anyone so this is definitely a scammer claiming to be a credit bureau who is giving you "your final call-see you in court"
