I came home from work and had a message from this woman stating that I had to call this number and gave me this phone number to call back on. something about being a state and legal problem and I had to use this case number she gave me. Then she said I had to call back before they started legal action. My boss told me if if was legal action, they would contact me by mail and not leave a message on the phone. Apparently this is a scam, so i just didn't call it back. She didn't give a company or even an lawyers name. if it was a legal situation, they would of at least given the name of the lawyer or attorneys office name.
A person called from 716 - 242 -5202 and stated her name was Investigator Smith looking for someone else, but the way she spoke made me think she was hidden something. She said she was from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff Office but it was a long distance phone number from N.Y. gave me a case number and was trying to sound intimidating and threatening; said she would send her a summons.
Received the same message as Roxy- within the past hour a Unified caller identified herself as Joanne Smith-said notice was given to give her a call within 24 hours-the person she asked for does not live at this address and never has.
She called me just now, RUDe and hung up on me. I ask what number did i dial told me to listen to the message. well guess what you called my phone looking for someone I do not know so, you will not get a call back
Who ever this lady is Joann Smith (very common) from UNIFIED PS GROUP, is rude and abnoxious (sp). I asked what number did I call she told me to listen to the message and call back with a case number. How about when you call someone number you make sure its who you are calling for. Just cause we have the same last name dont mean we are related.
